More than 330 people have taken part in a bid to beat the world record for the most people bouncing on trampolines at the same time.

The Loughborough University event was organised by fitness instructor Becky White, who said she was delighted.

It beats a previous record of 302 set at the university in 2012 to mark the Olympic Torch Relay.

Ms White, who is known on campus as 'Becky Bounce', said they now had to wait for the attempt to be verified.

Staff, students and members of the local community all took part in the record attempt.

Ms White said: "It's gone really well - we were a bit short of numbers to start off with but we are confident we ended up with enough people to break the record."

Details will now be sent to the Guinness World Records to be checked.
