Police are investigating reports that the occupants of a Lincolnshire house were threatened with a handgun.
Officers were called to the Burchnall Close/Thackers Way area of Deeping St James on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 5in (1.6m) tall with short, strawberry blond hair. He was wearing a black woolly hat and a bomber jacket.
Anyone who saw a man matching that description at about 1330 GMT should contact Lincolnshire Police.
The man, who was also wearing blue jeans and white trainers with Velcro fastenings, is thought to have left the scene in a vehicle.
