At least 20 dogs, including a pregnant bitch, were stolen in the raid on the kennels
Twenty dogs, including a pregnant bitch, have been stolen from a breeder in a Lincolnshire village.
Thieves stole the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels after using cutting equipment to break into kennels on Gainsborough Road, Middle Rasen.
The theft took place at some point between 22:00 BST on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, police said.
Most of the dogs are aged between one and six and three are female.
Rachel Nugent, daughter of the dogs' owner, Maddie Cowling, said the theft had left everyone in the family devastated.
"We are King Charles Cavalier crazy - we've never known life without them," she said.
"It has just destroyed us."
She added: "The dogs were so scared when the thieves broke in they were physically sick."
One of the dogs is almost blind and another is in need of daily medication.
A bitch stolen in the raid is also due to give birth soon, the family said.
The family is offering a reward of £5,000 for information leading to the safe return of the dogs.
Police are asking anyone who is offered one of the dogs for sale to contact them.
