Armed police were at the scene in Brixton
A man has been arrested following an 11-hour stand-off with armed police in south London.
Officers had spent the day in Dumbarton Road in Brixton, having been alerted at 06:20 GMT to a man "in possession of what looked like a firearm".
Residents from two blocks of flats were evacuated but have since been allowed home.
The man, in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of having an imitation gun at about 17:15 GMT, police said.
