At least £1m and more than 13kg (28lbs) of suspected Class A drugs have been seized during a raid in Merseyside.

Police searched a house on Liddell Avenue in the Melling area of Sefton on Tuesday and found the substances as well as sterling and euro banknotes.

A 23-year-old man from Melling was arrested on suspicion of drugs and money-laundering offences.

Four other people, who were arrested during related raids on Monday, are still being held for questioning.
