Police raids have resulted in 69 arrests and 40 people being charged

Three people have pleaded guilty to drug offences in Northamptonshire after a police crackdown.

Lee Edwards, Helen Gray and Queshahn Smith-Martin were arrested in an operation against drug dealers in Wellingborough and surrounding areas.

Northampton Crown Court heard they were part of a group of 21 people who have so far admitted dealing class A drugs after two police operations.

Sentencing for those involved is expected to be in June.

Operations Pyramid and Fever have seen 69 people arrested and 40 charged with drug offences, Northamptonshire Police said.

The force said £40,000 worth of heroin and cocaine had been seized and £225,000 in cash recovered in raids from members of a Northamptonshire drugs ring.
