Weston Favell Tesco shoppers cheap meat scrum captured on video

Shoppers at a Tesco store had to be told to "sit" like dogs before they scrambled for reduced price meat.

A video shot by Facebook user Johnny Lester in the Weston Favell store shows people forming a scrum as they cram their baskets full of bargain produce.

Green Party politician Tony Clarke called Tesco "crass and irresponsible" for putting the food out in the way it did.

A Tesco spokesman said the "safety of our customers and colleagues is of paramount importance to us".
