Two people arrested over Lenton hit-and-run

Two people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash in the Lenton area of Nottingham in which a woman with seriously injured.

The 23-year-old pedestrian was struck on Derby Road near the Hillside junction at about 2330 GMT on Saturday.

The car then drove off towards Nottingham city centre.

A 22-year-old woman and 34-year-old man have been arrested and are questioned over the collision. They have been released on bail.

Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
