Jean Maddock was attacked in Nottingham on Saturday
A robber who left a 77-year-old woman battered and bruised on her own driveway to steal just £12 is the "lowest of the low", police have said.
The attack on grandmother Jean Maddock on Saturday night lasted several minutes.
She said she is scared to leave her home for the first time since she moved to the house in Nottingham 27 years ago.
She has helped Nottinghamshire Police create an e-fit of the hooded attacker.
Mrs Maddock said she was parking her car in her garage when she was confronted by a man in his 20s who threw her around "like a rag doll".
"There was no time to think I better hit him or kick him or punch him," she said.
"It was only afterwards that I go over it in my mind and now I'm scared."

An e-fit of the suspect has been released
Det Insp Mike Allen said the handbag the robber stole contained about £12.
"His actions are absolutely deplorable. This man is low, in fact he's the lowest of the low," he said.
Mrs Maddock said she is finding it difficult to sleep and is scared to leave her home.
"All I can see is the image of this hoody standing in front of me," she said.
