Officials said reserved spaces of this kind were no longer used
A driver who was fined for painting her own disabled bay outside her house said she has been left angry and ill.
Elaine Bacon said the box was put in Laurie Avenue in Forest Fields, Nottingham, after she could not park nearby and had to crawl to her door.
She said she was given a £75 fine on Thursday.
Mrs Bacon is registered disabled due to spinal problems but Nottingham City Council said it cannot help as it does not provide such bays.

Elaine Bacon said her back problems meant she relied on the car to get out and about
Mrs Bacon said: "I came home one night and I couldn't get parked, so I had to park half way down the street. I can't walk because of an injury I've got in my back. I can't walk that far, I can only walk about 20 yards (18m).
"By the time I got out of the car and got to the corner (of her street) I couldn't walk any further and I was crawling. I was in that much pain I couldn't get through the door."
"It is making me ill and it makes me very angry because where am I supposed to park? How am I supposed to get in? I think it's ridiculous."
The city council confirmed the fine had been issued for making unauthorised marks on the highway.
A spokeswoman said: "Only the highway authority is allowed to carry out such road markings, but in fact no longer provides advisory bays like this and the road may in any case be too narrow to safely accommodate one."
