Sheffield payroll clerk admits £100k engineering fraud

A payroll clerk from Sheffield has pleaded guilty to defrauding her employer out of more than £100,000.

Gillian Lane, 49, of Borman Drive, Sheffield, took £106,459.81 from Sheffield-based MFH Engineering between 2008 and 2014.

She pleaded guilty to one count of fraud by abuse of position at Sheffield Crown Court, where she will be sentenced on 22 October.

The firm also has offices in Leeds, Manchester, Leicester and London.
