A bench commemorating five teenagers from Doncaster who were killed in a car crash has been unveiled.

Arpad Kore, 18, Jordanna Goodwin, 16, Megan Storey, 16, Blake Cairns, 16, and Bartosz Bortniczak, 18, all died in the crash at Conisbrough.

Family and friends attended the ceremony at Grove Gardens, Wheatley Hills, on the first anniversary of the crash.

The bench was designed to incorporate messages from the teenagers' families.

The Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, spoke briefly at the ceremony which was followed by a release of balloons.

The parents of Blake Cairns, Les and Helen Cairns, said it was an "emotional event" for everyone.

"The memorial bench for the five angels is a fitting tribute," they said.

The five were in a Toyota Corolla which was in a collision with a Seat Leon on the A630 near Conisbrough on the evening of 15 November last year.

The driver of the Seat was injured.

Doncaster coroner Nicola Mundy ruled at an inquest held in October that each of the five teenager's deaths was accidental.
