One man has been charged by police after a protest at Brighton's Topshop's store.

Sussex Police arrested 21 people over the demonstration on Saturday. One man has been cautioned and 18 other people have been released on bail.

UK Uncut said Topshop's parent firm Arcadia was its main target.

Sussex Police said a 20-year-old man was charged with failing to comply with a condition as a public assembly participant.

He is due before Brighton magistrates on Monday.

Nine people were arrested for criminal damage and aggravated trespass, and one for assault.

Eight others were arrested outside for public order offences, and one for possession of a bladed article.

A teenager who was arrested for failing to provide his name and address was released before he was taken into custody.

The protest was one of a number at high street shops in cities across the UK in a campaign against tax avoidance.
