Robert Poulton began his professional career in the Glyndebourne chorus
The wife of Robert Poulton, a baritone with Glyndebourne Opera in East Sussex who was killed in a car crash, has set up a charity in his name.
The singer died in October 2012 while on tour in Dvorak's opera Rusalka.
Philippa Poulton is launching the Robert Poulton Foundation with a concert in St John's Smith Square in London.
The foundation will fund a community choir at St Wilfred's Hospice in Eastbourne.
It will also pay for a project to bring singing into two primary schools in London.
The concert will include music from operas such as Eugene Onegin, La Traviata and Falstaff as well as Vaughan William's Serenade to Music.
Trinity Boys Choir will be joined by a chorus of some of Mr Poulton's colleagues from the world of opera.
After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio, Mr Poulton began his professional career in the Glyndebourne chorus and performed central roles both in its festival and tours.
He sang in La Traviata with Opera Holland Park and the Royal Opera House; Tosca with the Scottish Opera, and in Aida at the Royal Albert Hall.
