Billingham's new library opens

  • Published

A £2.7m library and council customer service centre has opened to the public on Teesside.

The facility in Billingham has been built on the site of the town's former art gallery and council offices.

It has longer opening hours than the former town library on Bedale Avenue and Roseberry Library, which it has replaced.

It is the headquarters for Billingham Town Council and houses customer services for Stockton Council.

A spokesman for the council said the library "complemented" the continuing regeneration of the town.
