Call for offer of rooms on Teesside for homeless refugees

Do you have any space in your house for a homeless refugee, and would you be willing to take someone in?

That was the question being posed at a public meeting on Teesside, attended by more than 100 people, where charity workers were trying to coordinate a more structured level of support for migrants arriving in the region.

People like Anna Lewis is one of those who has chosen to get involved by putting up a homeless refugee in the back room of her Middlesbrough house.
