A man has been raped in Sunderland city centre.
It happened on 28 September, but police said the victim reported it on Friday.
The man, in his 50s, was raped some time between 16:00 BST and midnight in the area around Argyle Square.
Acting Det Sgt Iain Brown said: "I'd urge anyone who may have been in Sunderland city centre on the evening of Sunday 28 September to contact us as they may have information that can help us establish what happened."
