Stannington Sanatorium's former patients recall TB treatments

Former patients and staff have been reunited to share their memories of being treated for tuberculosis at a children's medical facility which was opened more than 100 years ago.

Stannington Sanatorium in Northumberland was the first purpose-built children's TB sanatorium in the country and treated some 11,000 youngsters.

Opening in 1907, it was a place for malnourished children to get fresh air, exercise and good nutrition.

Damian O'Neil went to speak to some of the former patients about their experiences.
