A security alert in Larne, County Antrim, has ended following the discovery of what police have described as a "crude attempt at an incendiary device".
The object was found at a back gate of a house at Drumahoe Gardens in the Milbrook area on Saturday morning.
Army bomb experts were sent to the scene.
Police said the object had been taken away for examination.
