Two petrol bombs were thrown at police officers in Londonderry on Tuesday.
The attack happened in the Rossville Street area at about 22:30 GMT. One vehicle sustained minor scorch damage, but no-one was injured.
Earlier on Tuesday night, police attended a report of criminal damage to the Verbal Arts Centre.
A paint bomb and a petrol bomb were thrown at the building on Bishop Street at about 22:00 GMT.
It is understood a number of youths made off in the direction of the Bogside.
The director of the Verbal Arts Centre, James Kerr, said the device exploded but was quickly put out by their caretaker.
"It caused a few scorch marks, but I think we were fortunate that there wasn't more damage done.
"I don't think we were deliberately targeted, there is a level of activity in that interface area and usually we don't come anywhere near it, but I think last night we just got in the way."
