Sepha said the Pfizer contract would create new jobs
An east Belfast company has won a major export order from the world's biggest pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Sepha will supply test equipment to the global Pfizer corporation.
The initial contract with Pfizer is worth almost £1m. Sepha said it was considering a move to larger premises and said the Pfizer contract would create more new jobs.
The company said the testing system developed at its Dundonald headquarters was unique.
Sepha's head of sales and marketing, Paul Kelly, said the contract was a welcome endorsement for the company.
"It gives a great stamp of approval globally for our technology," he said.
"It also enables us strategically to go to other businesses similar to Pfizer and talk about implementing this technology in their production environments.
"We're currently in negotiations with several other major manufacturers."
