Daniel McColgan: Coroner 'incredulous' at lost murder evidence

A coroner has told an inquest into the 2002 loyalist murder of a Catholic postman he is "incredulous" that bullet casings held as evidence went missing.

Daniel McColgan, 20, was shot dead as he arrived for work at a postal sorting office in Rathcoole, Newtownabbey, County Antrim.

Speaking outside court, family solicitor Fearghal Shiels said it was an emotional day for the family.
