A 93-year-old man has died in hospital, two days after he was injured in a fire at his County Armagh home.

Firefighers rescued the man and his wife from their bungalow at Richmond Heights in Richhill on Sunday evening.

The couple called for help after smoke alarms alerted them to a bedroom fire. Firefighters wearing breathing aids helped the couple to escape.

They were taken to hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation. The man's widow, 86, remains in hospital.
