How the new meningitis B vaccine will work

One in 10 cases of meningitis B results in death and up to one in three cases have long term health complications such as amputation and deafness.

It is the first nationwide, publicly-funded programme against the infection anywhere in the world.

Dr Nicola Steedman, Scotland's acting deputy chief medical officer, told BBC Good Morning Scotland's Gary Robertson how the new vaccination programme will work.
