'Hard messages' for Police Scotland over call handling criticisms
Michael Matheson has said he will ensure the findings of a critical report into police call handling are implemented.
The Justice Secretary was speaking after publication of a report prompted by the M9 car crash in which two people died and which police took three days to respond.
Inspector of Constabulary Derek Penman had found that oversight of Police Scotland's programme of control room closures had been "inadequate."
Unannounced visits on police call handling centres, staff training, an independent panel of advisors to oversee the remainder of Police Scotland's change programme and a £15m new technology system were announced by the Scottish government.
