Health treatment lottery is 'barbaric'
The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has refused breast cancer sufferers routine access to a treatment available to patients in other parts of the UK.
The SMC says it has concerns about the long-term survival benefits of the drug Perjeta.
Campaigners have said the decision is "the ultimate postcode lottery".
Lesley Graham was diagnosed with cancer but was denied access to a life-prolonging drug on the NHS.
The mother-of-two told BBC Scotland's Andrew Black that although she eventually won her fight to get the treatment, the current system which decides who gets access to which drugs is "barbaric".
