Death of man in Rutherglen lane not suspicious

The death of a 47-year-old man whose body was found in a South Lanarkshire street is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the scene, in a lane off Mill Street, Rutherglen, at 05:10 on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for the Strathclyde force said a post-mortem examination had since been carried out.

She said that following the results, the death of the 47-year-old man was not being treated as suspicious.
