Mikaeel's body was found in Kirkcaldy following a massive search operation
A man has appeared in court charged with making racist remarks on Facebook about three-year-old Mikaeel Kular whose body was found in Fife last week.
Jamie Milligan, 24, from Paisley, is alleged to have posted the comments between 17 and 19 January.
He is also charged with posting another comment in which he threatened to rape a woman, causing her fear and alarm.
Mr Milligan made no plea or declaration at Paisley Sheriff Court and was released on bail.
Mother charged
Mikaeel was reported missing from his home in Edinburgh last Thursday, prompting a major search.
His body was found 20 miles away in Kirkcaldy, Fife, late on Friday.
His mother, Rosdeep Kular, 33, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, charged with his murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
She made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
