A man has died in hospital after a disturbance broke out in the street in East Dunbartonshire.
The 28-year-old was found with serious injuries on Springfield Road in Bishopbriggs at about 22:35 on Thursday.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
The death was being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A post-mortem will take place to establish the exact cause of death, however, at this time police are treating his death as suspicious."
