The 63-year-old woman was found seriously injured in a common close of flats in Glen Avenue
A woman has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a 63-year-old woman in Port Glasgow.
Sadie Bale, 33, made no plea or declaration at Greenock Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody.
Police had been called to Glen Avenue in Port Glasgow just after midnight on Tuesday, where they found a seriously injured woman in a common close.
She died a short time later at Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock.
