Police said Katie Henry's family were "extremely worried" about her

Police have appealed for help in finding a vulnerable teenage girl who has gone missing in Glasgow.

Katie Henry, 14, was last seen at 11:00 on Wednesday in Old Rutherglen Road, in the Gorbals area of the city.

Katie is 5ft 4in tall, of medium build with collar length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white top with long black sleeves and "A Day to Remember" written in black across the chest.

She was also wearing blue jeans and white trainers and may have a hoodie.

'Out of character'

Insp Kevin Struthers, of Police Scotland, said: "Although Katie has gone missing before for short periods, to be missing this length of time is out of character for her.

"Her family are extremely worried and I would ask Katie to get in touch as soon as possible to let us know that she is safe.

"She is known to spend time in Queens Park and Kings Park as well as the city centre, particularly around where Jamaica Street meets Argyll Street."

Insp Struthers asked anyone who recognises Katie or who has information about her whereabouts to contact police immediately.
