A man has been cleared of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old woman in Glasgow's Merchant City area.
Daly McSorley, 23, from Hamilton, had originally been accused of raping the woman in Brunswick Street on 8 June last year.
However, prosecutors reduced the charge during his trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
The charge against former Stirling Albion footballer Mr McSorley, who had pled not guilty, was found not proven.
