Ms Bale is accused of attacking her mother at her home in Port Glasgow
A woman is to stand trial charged with murdering her mother.
Sadie Bale 34, is accused of attacking Yvonne Bale at the 63-year-old's home in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, on 9 June.
She is alleged to have threatened her mother before repeatedly striking her on the body with a knife. Ms Bale also faces other allegations of threatening behaviour and assault.
At the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lord Bannatyne set a trial due to begin in April next year.
Ms Bale also faces a separate allegation of assaulting her mother a week before her death by slapping her on the face.
It is also alleged she behaved in a threatening manner towards her mother, including claims that she smashed ornaments and ripped up photographs.
Ms Bale faces the same charge in connection with another alleged incident on 12 January this year.
The indictment claims she attempted to seize hold of her mother before kicking the front door to try and gain entry to her home.
Ms Bale is further accused of assaulting Stephen McNeill that day by kicking him on the body.
