Glasgow's annual fireworks display is to be held a day early to avoid a potential clash with a football game.

Lord Provost Sadie Docherty said the decision was taken because of Celtic's international home tie with Norwegian side Molde on 5 November.

After consulting with Police Scotland and others, it was decided to mark Guy Fawkes night on Wednesday 4 November.

About 50,000 people are expected to attend the fireworks display at Glasgow Green.
