Aircraft, six search dogs and more than 30 people have made searches near a remote Highland road as part of an effort to find a missing man.

Steven Seel, 30, from Dingwall, Easter Ross, was last in touch with his family on 2 July.

At the time he was near Applecross, almost 70 miles (112.6km) from home.

Volunteers from Sky Watch Civil Air Patrol and four mountain rescue teams made searches of land near Bealach na Ba, a road leading to Applecross.

The road rises to about 626m (2,053ft) over about four miles (6.4km).

Members of Torridon, Dundonnell, Kintail and an RAF mountain rescue teams were also involved in the effort made over the weekend.

Dogs and their handlers were provided by Sarda Scotland and Northern Constabulary.

Police said they were becoming increasing concerns for Mr Seel's safety.

He was described as 5ft 10ins, of medium build, with a fair complexion, blue eyes and light brown hair.
