Bug-hit Western Isles Hospital ward reopened

  • Published

A Western Isles Hospital ward that was closed last Wednesday to new admissions and visitors due to an outbreak of norovirus has been reopened.

NHS Western Isles said "a small number of patients and staff" had been experiencing symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting.

Visitors to the hospital in Stornoway still continue to be asked to wash their hands before and after visiting.

Anyone who has been sick in the previous 48 hours should not visit.
