Properties in Dundee have been evacuated after a container of hydrochloric acid leaked out of a fabrics business.

Firefighters responded to a call at Halley Stevensons on Annfield Road at 10:42 after neighbours reported a strong smell.

A cordon was put up and the surrounding premises were evacuated.

Three people were given precautionary checks by the ambulance service, but no-one was injured.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue service said firefighters were in attendance until the incident was "isolated." A specialist removal company is now dealing with the spillage.

Police officers were also in attendance.

The company manufactures waxed cotton.
