Police are to revisit the scene of a crash which has left a man and two young boys in hospital for weeks.

The nine-year-old boys and the 54-year-old man suffered "life-threatening injuries" in the crash on 13 September.

One boy is now in a serious condition, while the others are stable. All three were travelling in a Volkswagen Golf which collided with a Citroen Berlingo on the A84 from Callander to Strathyre.

Police said the road would be closed briefly on Thursday for investigations.

Road policing officers and the forensic support unit will be carrying out further inquiries at the scene for about half an hour from 13:00.

The man and boys were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the crash.

A 30-year-old woman travelling in the Citroen was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment for serious injuries, while a two-year-old girl in the same car was uninjured.

Anyone with information about the crash, which occurred at 17:15 that Sunday, is asked to contact Police Scotland.
