Ted Jones, 96, remembers WW2 commando raid, 75 years on

A retired farmer from Welshpool has told of the night he took part in the first commando raid conducted by the British forces during World War Two.

On 24 June 1940, Ted Jones, now 96, was part of a specially assembled fighting force of 115 men involved in Operation Collar.

On Prime Minister Winston Churchill's orders, the men crossed the English Channel and landed on the beach at Calais where the Germans were waiting.

Mr Jones remembers that night, 75 years on.
