Large anti-Apec protests take place in Manila
Riot police in the Philippines have used water cannon to prevent hundreds of demonstrators from reaching a regional summit of the Asia-Pacific trade bloc, APEC, in Manila.
The protesters from indigenous, student and labour groups want APEC to be dismantled.
They accuse it of taking advantage of poorer countries. The two-day summit, which is being attended by leaders including President Obama and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, is due to finish on Thursday.
