Germany giving home and respite to Syrian refugees
Thousands of Syrians fleeing the civil war in their homeland have sought refuge in Germany, which has offered a temporary home to more refugees than any other European country.
The BBC's Stephen Evans visited a reception centre in Friedland, in Lower Saxony, where he met people who left Syria, and now find themselves living in accommodation which has been a temporary home to thousands of people from the world's trouble spots over the past 50 years.
