A woman has died after a car that was being chased by police crashed into another vehicle on a motorway in the Republic of Ireland.
Five other people were injured in the collision which happened on the M7 in County Kildare, at about 20:45 local time on Thursday.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Naas and Tallaght.
The Irish police watchdog, the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC), is investigating the crash.
A team of GSOC investigators was deployed to the scene on Thursday night after police referred the incident to the watchdog.
A GSOC spokesman appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information which may assist the investigation, to contact the commission.
