Bad weather in the English Channel delays Guernsey post

Bad weather in the English Channel has affected postal deliveries from Guernsey to the UK.

The "extreme sea conditions" have caused a number of delays for parcels dispatched from Guernsey.

As a result, items sent on Thursday will not be delivered to Parcel Force until Monday, a spokeswoman for Guernsey Post said.

Packages which were sent from Guernsey on Friday will not be presented to Parcel Force until Tuesday, she added.
