Jersey minister considers first-time buyer help

Jersey's Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, will consider new schemes to help first-time buyers in the island.

Senator Ozouf was asked about helping novice buyers during a sitting of the States of Jersey.

He said a new scheme would only help about 15 islanders but he would be happy to look at that and others.

He said he would also look at ideas that could guarantee deposits for new home owners.
