EgyptAir: Authorities recover debris as further details emerge

More details are emerging of what was happening on board the EgyptAir passenger jet in the moments before it plunged into the Mediterranean.

French aviation officials have confirmed on board sensors detected smoke in several areas of the plane shortly before it disappeared but the cause of the crash is still not known.

The Egyptian military have released the first images of debris recovered from the sea
