Animals were out and about enjoying the winter weather too, including these dogs in Norfolk.
But for these birds it meant a frozen lake and snow all over their home in Nottinghamshire.
In Scarborough, in Yorkshire, the beaches were full of snow instead of sand.
The chilly weather also meant canal boats were frozen in this canal near Nottingham.
And this waterfall in Yorkshire froze!
Many people had to clear the snow from their roads so that their cars could get out.
Road maintenance crews were out, clearing snow, gritting roads and keeping the main routes open. This is a road being cleared in Essex.
The heavy snow affected train journeys and some flights had to be cancelled.
