Another swirling snowstorm has covered towns in the north-east of the United States with a fresh layer of snow. About 30cm of snow fell in Philadelphia on Tuesday. This lady's umbrella decided to call it a day.

Heavy snow made the roads dangerous so everyone had to drive slowly. Journeys took four times longer than usual.

This man found a quick way to get across Washington - by skiing!

More than 3,000 flights were cancelled on Tuesday due to the stormy conditions. Another 1,000 have been cancelled today.

These passengers are stranded at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and have had to set up camp in the airport lounge.

But not everybody hated the snow. This man and his dog made the most of the situation by sliding down a hill.

Schools in at least six states had to close and pupils were sent home early. This lad was clearly very disappointed by the decision.

This lady didn't let a bit of snow ruin her visit to Times Square in New York City. She wrapped up in her warmest woolly hat and took some frosty selfies.
