England are through to the Rugby World Cup semi-finals.

It's the sixth time that England have reached the last four of the competition.

They will now face defending champions South Africa next weekend for a place in the final.

England were in total control of the first half - with tries from centres Manu Tuilagi and Joe Marchant helping England go into half-time with a comfortable 21-10 lead.

However, after the break, Fiji staged a comeback and scored two quickfire tries to level the scores at 24-24 in the 69th minute.

But England fought back and an Owen Farrell drop-goal and penalty sealed the victory in the final 10 minutes.

After the game, England coach Steve Borthwick said he was "pleased for all the players" and he was full of praise for man of the match Owen Farrell, calling him an "incredible leader and player".

England are the only home nation left in the competition after Wales and Ireland both lost their quarter-final matches on Saturday.

England will now face current holders South Africa on Saturday night on 21 October after the Springboks beat hosts France by a single point in their thrilling 29-28 quarter-final match.
