Strictly Come Dancing 2023: Who went out this week?

Angela Scanlon has become the ninth celebrity to be voted out of Strictly Come Dancing 2023.

She and her professional partner, Carlos, faced Layton and Nikita in a very close dance off.

Shirley Ballas was the only judge to vote for Angela and Carlos to remain in the competition while Craig, Motsi and Anton's vote went Layton's way.

Angela told Tess she was "really gutted" but that her time on the show had been "incredible" and "the most wonderful experience".

Both couples took to the stage again to compete in the dreaded dance off.

Layton and Nikita performed their American Smooth to 'It's Oh So Quiet' by Björk, while Angela and Carlos performed their Cha Cha to 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor.

Motsi commented on what a tough dance off it was, Anton called it the "closest dance off we've had in the series so far".

Speaking about her time on the show, Angela said: "I have made the best friend in this man. We have had so much fun, he is such an incredible guy.

"He has supported me and picked me up and made me laugh so much. I don't know what to say, it's been magical honestly."

Her dance partner Carlos said: "Her commitment and her strength every day, day by day - I'm a professional dancer and she works so hard, harder than me.

"Look at her now - I am so proud, her sense of humour and we had so much fun everyday - she cracks me up laughing."
