The Stoke five-piece serve up funk-laden grooves at Keele's Clock House. Plus a mesmerising track from Alvechurch's Katherine Priddy. Phillip Stoneman sits in.

Warning: This show may contain future headliners! Phillip Stoneman introduces the best new music from our area, including:

• What happens when you take a firefighter, cyclist and carer from Ludlow and give her life story to a chart-topping Worcestershire folk sensation? The result, as you can imagine, is sensational. Nothing less you'd expect from Alvechurch's Katherine Priddy after we invited her to the award-wining BBC series 21st Century Folk.

• In the Music News: Nantwich's Emily Beadle gets a chair turn in The Voice Germany and a first headliner is confirmed for next year's Lakefest near Ledbury.

• He's the Shrewsbury rapper who grew up on the melodies of Motown yet spits as fiercely as Eminem, 50 Cent and Macklemore. Get to know Ease The Artist, who's been picking up syncs around the world.

• Think Top Of The Pops or Jools Holland, but set in Staffordshire with an oatcake never too far away. Catch up with Newcastle's HoneyBox Live, reflecting on one of the most unpredictable summers for their events, which included a tenth series of their live-streamed sessions.

• He's Bromsgrove's biggest music export! Michael Ball is on as his latest tour wraps up in Hanley, taking a bow at the Regent Theatre.

• For every drum and bass MC, there's always someone trusty behind the decks. We're in conversation with Hereford's Afters At Amelia's, keeping the beat heavy from the raving cow sheds of Bromyard's Into The Valley.

• In the Festival Guide: The Bewdley Festival begins, with Deborah Bonham's band, Ludlow & Evesham's Alistair McGowan and BBC 6Music's Stuart Maconie all at St. George's Hall.

• They've played for Hans Zimmer, Harry Styles, Florence & The Machine and nearly every modern film soundtrack under the sun. Malvern musicians Donal Rogers and Eliza Marshall share new original compositions from their group Ranagri, taking influence from the lush green pastures of Ireland, the vast mountains of North America and wild grasslands of Africa.

• Bringing the funk to Keele's Clock House Tower: Get to know Stoke and Trentham five-piece Onjah, in a rare appearance together because they've all started university in different parts of the country! They're a fusion in more ways than one.
